Thurgood Marshall Academy extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping them up to 4-0. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 70-69 W against the Capital City Public Charter School EAGLES. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Capital City Public Charter School, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. On the bright side, the 69- point effort marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

Capital City Public Charter School's loss came despite strong showings from Yari Sowell and Drew Whittington. Sowell dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten boards, while Whittington dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Whittington's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Moses Jackson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Looking ahead, Thurgood Marshall Academy will face off against Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Capital City Public Charter School, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Model Secondary School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
