Basketball Recap: New England Comes Up Short

New England was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harding County Ranchers. The match was a 29-29 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Harding County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Meyer out in front who posted nine points in addition to five boards and three steals. Cohen Smith was another key player, putting up ten points.

New England's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Harding County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New England has already played their next game (against Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Harding County will take on New Underwood at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
