American Heritage had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Arnold Marlins 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won 13 games in a row.

Talan Holiday spent all 5.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Blayden Caballero was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Joseph Castro, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

American Heritage pushed their record up to 28-6 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Arnold, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 27-8 record.
