Soccer Game Preview: Hazel Green vs. Darlington

The Hazel Green Trojans will take on the Darlington Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hazel Green is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Oologah on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Mustangs. The shutout was out of character for Hazel Green seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Darlington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against Temple on Friday as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Darlington, who have now won four matches by five goals or more so far this season.

Darlington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six contests. As for Hazel Green, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
