Basketball Recap: Glascock County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilkinson County, Glascock County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Taliaferro County JAGUARS onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The two-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory snapped Glascock County's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record. As for Taliaferro County, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glascock County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Twiggs County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Twiggs County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Taliaferro County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Taliaferro County JAGUARS duke it out with the Washington-Wilkes Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
