Softball Game Preview: Adena Warriors vs. Southeastern Panthers

Adena is a perfect 3-0 against Southeastern since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will welcome the Panthers at 5:15 p.m. Adena's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Southeastern's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Adena didn't have quite enough to beat Piketon and fell 9-8.

Jolyn Jett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Guarnieri, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Southeastern came up short against Portsmouth West on Tuesday, falling 15-7. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Senators recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lydia Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Adena, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Adena was able to grind out a solid victory over Southeastern when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
