Football Recap: Carbon Hill Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Carbon Hill had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Curry Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 36-14. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Despite the loss, Carbon Hill had strong showings from Dayton Miller, who threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns, and Carter Williams, who picked up 55 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

A big part of Curry's win came down to the chemistry between Jd Sickles and his top target Heath Miller. Sickles rushed for 97 yards on only nine carries while Miller rushed for 27 yards and one score. Those 97 rushing yards gave Sickles a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Carbon Hill will take on Colbert Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Curry, they will face off against Cold Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
