Volleyball Recap: MICDS' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but MICDS had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

MICDS found their leader in sophomore Kendall Lay, who had eight aces and four digs. Lay is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

MICDS was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.

MICDS' win bumped their record up to 15-17. As for STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

MICDS wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Visitation Academy on the 23rd. STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
