Baseball Recap: Jenkintown Comes Up Short

Jenkintown managed to slip by Renaissance Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Drakes came up short against the Knights on Monday, falling 10-3. The Drakes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Logan Auxter was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Andreas Kergides, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases.

Jenkintown's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Renaissance Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Jenkintown will take on Valley Forge Military Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Drakes are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Renaissance Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
