Baseball Recap: Crescent City Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Crescent City's offense. They came up short against the Christ's Church Academy Eagles on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Crescent City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Pates, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Pates' first of the season.

Crescent City's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Christ's Church Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crescent City will take on Warner Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crescent City has given up an average of 14 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will square off against Duval Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christ's Church Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
