Paradise had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 51 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by the Valley View Eagles to the tune of 85-14. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Eagles are ranked 1393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Paradise pushed their record up to 19-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.0 points per game. As for Valley View, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

Coincidentally, Paradise and Valley View will both be playing Callisburg the next time they take the court. Valley View will host Callisburg at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Paradise will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 24th.
