Basketball Game Preview: Sterling Tigers vs. Forge Christian Fury

Sterling has gone 6-0 against Forge Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Sterling Tigers will host the Forge Christian Fury at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Sterling took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-54 victory over Sidney.

Colin Linn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 13 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayten DiOrio, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Forge Christian was fully in charge back in December of 2024, breezing past Denver Christian 75-44. The Fury have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Sterling better keep an eye on Levi Clark. He was instrumental in Forge Christian's win, going 8 of 16 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Hovis, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Forge Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Sterling didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Forge Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, but they still walked away with a 46-40 win.
