Football Recap: Tamaseaula Mahafutau Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Millennium

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Modesto Christian). They blew past the Millennium Falcons 26-0 on Saturday. The Crusaders pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Modesto Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tamaseaula Mahafutau led the charge by rushing for 138 yards on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Tevita Tuakalau, who rushed for 74 yards and one score on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Modesto Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Modesto Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Millennium, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
