Volleyball Recap: Fairview Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

Fairview had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Union City on Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

While Fairview won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Sarah Adams paced Fairview's offense, picking up ten kills. Adams got some help from Gaelie Hynes and her 28 assists. Avery Willow and Gianna Campoli kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Fairview is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Union City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairview will face off against rival Seneca at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Union City is set to challenge their familiar foe Mercyhurst Prep at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
