Cocoa had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Bradford Tornadoes by a score of 17-10 on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Champ Smith threw for 240 yards on 26 of 37 attempts. Cayman Varis was his top target, picking up 98 receiving yards. On the ground, Javeon Scott rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown.

Despite the loss, Bradford still got an impressive performance from Iyen Addison, who rushed for 127 yards and one score.

Cocoa's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Bradford, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.

Coming up, Cocoa will head out on the road to challenge Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last 11 contests. Bradford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
