Baseball Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Southview Cougars by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vinny Reamer, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Central Catholic has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Southview, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southview, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Lexington on the 28th.
