Recap: Jackson Central Merry Cougars vs. Jackson South Side Hawks
If the Jackson Central Merry Cougars were riding high off their 56-20 takedown of the Jackson North Side Indians last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Jackson Central Merry was outmatched by Jackson South Side on the road and fell 49-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jackson Central Merry has scored all season.
Jackson South Side found their leader in underclassman Aydison Dilworth, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Kimora Currie was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five assists and five steals.
Jackson Central Merry has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Jackson South Side, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Jackson Central Merry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jackson South Side will be playing at home against Hardin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hardin County will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
