Basketball Recap: Early Takes a Loss

If Early was feeling good fresh off their 60-17 takedown of Peaster last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Early Longhorns took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comanche Indians on Tuesday. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Early's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Comanche, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Early and Comanche should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Early will square off against Breckenridge at 6:15 p.m. on Friday up 744 places (443 vs. 1187). Similarly, Comanche (ranked 215th) will meet Dublin (ranked 1088th) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
