Soccer Game Preview: Goshen vs. Penn

The Goshen RedHawks will face off against the Penn Kingsmen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Goshen is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

Goshen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the RedHawks who were credited with the victory. Goshen got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Northridge's four. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Goshen's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Northridge are ranked 50th).

Goshen's one-goal win came courtesy of Fabricio Hernandez, who's now up to two this season.

Goshen's victory bumped their record up to 15-1-1. As for Penn, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

Goshen came up short against Penn in their previous meeting back in September, falling 2-0. Can the RedHawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
