Volleyball Recap: Ridge Comes Up Short

Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Caldwell Tech Eagles.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Ridge sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 28-30, 25-21.

John Jimenez was a one-man wrecking crew For West Caldwell Tech. as he had 25 digs and ten assists. Those ten assists gave Jimenez a new career-high.

Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for West Caldwell Tech, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Ridge will host Watchung Hills Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Caldwell Tech, they will head out to square off against Montclair at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
