Basketball Recap: San Luis Sidewinders vs. Tolleson Wolverines

San Luis lost against Tolleson back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Luis Sidewinders were dealt an 80-26 loss at the hands of the Tolleson Wolverines. The defeat leaves the Sidewinders without a win on the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tolleson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rico Blassingame, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Blassingame a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Nuul Deng, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

San Luis' loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Tolleson, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-8.

San Luis will face off against San Pasqual Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tolleson, they will challenge Apollo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tolleson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
