Volleyball Recap: Ramsey Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Ramsey, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lanphier Lions on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Ramsey who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 15-9.

Kelli Cook paced Ramsey's offense, picking up eight kills. Cook got some help from Mia Waggoner and her 11 assists. Cali Hill controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Ramsey moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lanphier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Ramsey will take on Brownstown/St. Elmo at 6:15 a.m. on Monday. As for Lanphier, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Litchfield on the 13th.
