Webster County won the last time they faced Ohio County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trojans walked away with a 9-5 win over the Eagles.

Jameson Newton and Trace Hardison did most of the damage at the plate: Newton went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Hardison went 1-for-3 with three runs. That's the most runs Hardison has posted since back in March. Harrison Warren was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Webster County's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Ohio County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-10.

Looking ahead, Webster County will challenge Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Ohio County, they will welcome Hopkins County Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Storm have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.85 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
