Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gadsden City). They blew past the Huffman Vikings 61-41 on Saturday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-36 two weeks ago.

Gadsden City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Naomi Wise led the charge by going 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Destiny Whiteside, who posted 11 points.

Gadsden City was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Gadsden City has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Huffman, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gadsden City will welcome Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Huffman, they will host Homewood at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
