Basketball Recap: American Heritage Comes Up Short

American Heritage lost against Inlet Grove back in November of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The American Heritage Stallions fell just short of the Inlet Grove Hurricanes by a score of 40-37. The game marked the Stallions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Inlet Grove found their leader in sophomore Robert Brown, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 21 points. Ja?Marcus Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points.

American Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Inlet Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Heritage won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. John Paul II Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. John Paul II Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Inlet Grove, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Somerset Academy - Canyons at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
