Basketball Game Preview: Moore Haven Terriers vs. Lake Region Thunder

The Moore Haven Terriers will challenge the Lake Region Thunder at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Moore Haven is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Glades Central to the tune of 72-36 on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Terriers considering their 11-point performance the matchup before.

Preslynn Baker was her usual excellent self, going 5 for 8 on her way to 12 points in addition to eight assists and eight steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sa'Nyree Myers, who went 8 of 17 on her way to 18 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Lake Region put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Southeastern Prep Academy 63-38. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Falcons are ranked 277th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Moore Haven is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Lake Region, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
