Basketball Game Preview: Weber Warriors vs. Fremont Silverwolves

Weber is 0-10 against Fremont since January of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Weber Warriors will square off against the Fremont Silverwolves at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Weber came up short against Davis and fell 57-47.

Despite the loss, Weber had strong showings from Abby Sayer, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 20 points, and Bradey Schiffman, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Sayer continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Even though they lost, Weber smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Fremont waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 60-34 victory. The Silverwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Fremont's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Weber, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Weber was taken down by Fremont 61-34 in their previous meeting last Friday. Can Weber avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
