Softball Recap: Welsh Victorious

Welsh took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Eunice, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Greyhounds sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Bobcats on Monday. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered an 8-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jordan Bryant was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Welsh's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Eunice, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Welsh will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
