Volleyball Recap: Plainfield North Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Plainfield North had won four straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 15-17 to make it five. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Plainfield Central Wildcats 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Krish Patel paced Plainfield North's offense, picking up 11 kills. Patel got some help from Joey cavlovic and his 32 assists. CavloviC was also a major player on defense: he and he shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

As for Plainfield Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-23. They haven't had much luck with Plainfield North recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Craven Andaya, who had 12 digs and two assists. Vincent Trevino was another key player, getting 15 assists and seven digs.

Plainfield North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Joliet Central on the 20th. As for Plainfield Central, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Oswego East on the 20th.
