Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

Valley Christian entered their tilt with Snowflake on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They breezed by the Snowflake Lobos to the tune of 85-57. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Valley Christian was led to victory by Colby Jessup and Kyle Grier. Jessup went 11 for 19 on his way to 29 points, while Grier went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points and three steals. Jessup's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Grier, who posted ten points along with six assists and five rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Snowflake lost, don't look at Brock Ervien. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 9 on his way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Merrick Ulberg, who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points and six boards.

Valley Christian pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.6 points. As for Snowflake, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.

Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 76-43 victory against Rancho Solano Prep on the 20th. As for Snowflake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-48 win against Show Low on the 21st.
