Basketball Recap: Preston Darr's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kane over Dubois Central Catholic

Kane lost against DuBois Central Catholic back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kane Wolves took a hard 56-40 fall against the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kane's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Darr, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Novosel, who scored eight points and five rebounds.

Kane's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for DuBois Central Catholic, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Kane will face off against Elk County Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elk County Catholic will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Kane surely won't give up without a fight. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they will challenge Ridgway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DuBois Central Catholic is facing Ridgway at the right time seeing as Ridgway is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
