Ware County barely beat Brooks County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gators blew past the Trojans 3-0 on Thursday. The Gators have beaten the Trojans the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

While Ware County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-19.

Ware County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Callie Lewis out in front who had seven aces.

Lewis wasn't the only good server: Ware County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Ware County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Brooks County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Ware County is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Tift County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Brooks County and Crisp County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
