Softball Recap: Galileo Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Galileo's offense. They came up short against the Lowell Cardinals on Thursday, falling 23-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Galileo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lowell, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galileo will head out to face off against Mission at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.6 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lowell, they will venture away from home to challenge Burton at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
