Basketball Recap: Quality Education Academy Comes Up Short

Quality Education Academy was the 66-11 winner over Word of God Christian Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Quality Education Academy Fighting Pharaohs were dealt a 56-10 loss at the hands of the Word of God Christian Academy Holy Rams on Tuesday.

Word of God Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayeesha Curtis, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave Curtis a new career-high in points. Raven Mason was another key player, putting up 17 points and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Word of God Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quality Education Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Word of God Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on NC GBB Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
