Volleyball Game Preview: Eldorado Firehawks vs. Basic Wolves

Eldorado is 0-3 against Basic since April of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Firehawks will host the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Eldorado turned things around against Rancho on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Firehawks not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7th (when they won 3-0).

Eldorado never let Rancho on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Basic faced Bishop Gorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolves blew past the Gaels 3-0. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Gaels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While Basic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 29-27, 25-19.

Eldorado picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 7-20. As for Basic, their win bumped their record up to 24-10.
