Basketball Recap: Perry County Takes a Loss

Perry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Rogers Pirates, falling 68-41.

Colton Pevahouse and Kenner Haston certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Pevahouse went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Haston went 5 for 11 on his way to 15 points. That's the most steals Pevahouse has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Mercer, who posted five points.

Perry County's record now sits at 2-9. As for Rogers, they moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Perry County and Lincoln County will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Perry County is facing Lincoln County at the right time seeing as Lincoln County is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rogers, they will square off against Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
