Volleyball Recap: River Falls Falls Short Against Ranked Hamilton

River Falls faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Olivia Doerre and Adia Johnson certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Doerre had 16 digs and one assist, while Johnson had six digs.

Emily Zgonc was the offensive standout of the game as she had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matches.

River Falls' loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Hamilton, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 24-3.

River Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Waukesha West on the 20th. As for Hamilton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Arrowhead on the 20th.
