Football Game Preview: Wood-Ridge Blue Devils vs. Rutherford Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Wood-Ridge Blue Devils will square off against the Rutherford Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Wood-Ridge 10, Rutherford 6.7) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Wood-Ridge came up short against Bogota and fell 29-18. The matchup marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rutherford strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past North Arlington 41-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Vikings are ranked 317th).

Rutherford's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Wood-Ridge, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Wood-Ridge might still be hurting after the 28-7 defeat they got from Rutherford in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
