Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Minor

Minor put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Central Falcons with a sharp 14-1 victory.

Daniyah Westbrook made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alana Watkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Rihanna King was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Minor's record is now 3-0. As for Central, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Minor has already played their next contest, a 17-7 win against Ramsay on the 18th. As for Central, they will head out to face off against Parker at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
