Homestead lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Whitefish Bay, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Highlanders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Blue Dukes a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Highlanders: when they faced off against the Blue Dukes back in April, they had to take a 7-5 loss.

Homestead got a big performance out of Lola Leaman, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Leaman has posted over her last eight matchups. Jersey Schmidt was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Homestead was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitefish Bay only posted a batting average of .125.

Homestead's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Whitefish Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homestead will take on Grafton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Whitefish Bay, they will square off against New Holstein at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
