Softball Recap: Bartlett Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

After only two runs in their last matchup, Bartlett made sure to put some runs up on the board against Elgin on Tuesday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Maroons with a sharp 19-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Bartlett has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Elgin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Bartlett will be playing in front of their home fans against West Aurora at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Elgin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-4 defeat against Riverside-Brookfield on the 30th.
