Basketball Recap: Lincoln Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Everything went the Lincoln Fighting Zebras' way against the Mira Loma Matadors on Friday as the Lincoln Fighting Zebras made off with a 54-28 win thanks in part to Neely, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 18 points and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

Chris Nisi was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Mira Loma, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Lincoln will take on Colfax at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Colfax will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mira Loma, they will square off against Bear River at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bear River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season.
