Basketball Game Preview: St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks vs. Bogalusa Lumberjacks

The St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks will head out to challenge the Bogalusa Lumberjacks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-18, which was the final score in St. Helena College and Career Academy's tilt against French Settlement on Friday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bogalusa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 59-15 loss at the hands of Pine. While losing is never fun, the Lumberjacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Raiders are ranked 50th).

Bogalusa's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Helena College and Career Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

St. Helena College and Career Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bogalusa in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 34-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Helena College and Career Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around.
