Recap: Paris Wildcats vs. Sulphur Springs Wildcats
If The Paris Wildcats were feeling good off their 48-8 takedown of the Community Braves last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Paris took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sulphur Springs on Friday. Paris lost against Sulphur Springs in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 21-14 score last time.
Brady Driver continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sulphur Springs, rushing for 163 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Sulphur Springs' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Truth Holmes and his two sacks.
Paris' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Sulphur Springs, the victory was the sixth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paris will take on Anna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Anna's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for Sulphur Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Kaufman at 7:30 p.m.
