Basketball Recap: Cotulla Takes a Loss

Cotulla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws, falling 57-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-37 back in December of 2024.

Cotulla's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Jourdanton, they moved to 14-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Cotulla will head out on the road to take on Hondo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hondo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches. As for Jourdanton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dilley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jourdanton is facing Dilley at the right time seeing as Dilley is stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
