Volleyball Recap: Lewiston-Altura Takes a Loss

Lewiston-Altura suffered their biggest loss since September 15th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Fillmore Central Falcons, falling 3-0. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Lewiston-Altura saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alaina Barkeim had ten digs and one assist. Barkeim is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Lewiston-Altura's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Fillmore Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season.

Lewiston-Altura wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Caledonia on the 2nd. As for Fillmore Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Dover-Eyota on the 2nd.
