After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Leadership, the Inspired Vision EAGLES were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They skirted past Gateway Charter Academy 56-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Inspired Vision has posted yet this season.
Inspired Vision's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyree Sheffield led the charge by scoring 25 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Sheffield has scored at least a third of Inspired Vision's points. Gabriel Kalala was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Inspired Vision's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Gateway Charter Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Inspired Vision will be playing at home against Village Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Village Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Tuesday. As for Gateway Charter Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Leadership at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Trinity Leadership's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Gateway Charter Academy has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
