Softball Recap: Linton-Stockton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Vincennes Lincoln last Saturday, Linton-Stockton came back down to earth. The Miners fell just short of the Bloomfield Cardinals by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Linton-Stockton's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bloomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Linton-Stockton will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Owen Valley at 6:00 p.m. The Miners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Bloomfield, they have already played their next match, a 9-4 win against North Daviess on the 16th.
