Basketball Recap: McCluer South-Berkeley Comes Up Short

McCluer South-Berkeley lost against Lutheran North back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The McCluer South-Berkeley Bulldogs were dealt an 82-28 loss at the hands of the Lutheran North Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while the Crusaders are ranked 144th).

McCluer South-Berkeley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dylan Merkle, who posted six points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 11 games he's played. Na'Mari Mckinnie was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points.

McCluer South-Berkeley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. Lutheran North now has a winning record of 9-8.
