Walnut hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Pomona Red Devils a 9-0 shutout. Paul Acosta was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Walnut's win bumped their record up to 6-0-2. As for Pomona, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which is still a better percentage than their 1-8-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut will be home for the holidays to greet Claremont at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Pomona and Bassett will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bassett will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
